I needed more than just friendship
Quan era un home pobre, i sense terra, no em preocupava res més que trobar un lloc per la nit i teca per menjar; realment no calia gaire per tenir-ho. Un amic sempre em convidaria a un àpat, i prou dones em deixarien dormir amb elles. Però en tenir la hipoteca vaig descobrir que necessitava més que sols amistat. A friend would always stand me a meal, and there were plenty of women who would have let me sleep with them. But when I got a mortgage I found that I needed more than just friendship. Mr. Albright wasn’t a friend but he had what I needed.
