mapbooks.php
mapbooks.php - Google maps for DLP, the Distributed Library Project
I happened to be tinkering with google maps some weeks ago and thought it could be useful at Biblio.tk, our installation of DLP. The idea is to show your closest neighbors in a prettier way than the default list.

Click on image to see it online if you’re sure your browser is standards compilant –that is, not for Internet Explorer users.
Download
Here you can download the mapbooks.tgz (12KB) file.
What you’ll need:
- A DLP installation up and running
- A Google Maps API key for your domain
- The mapbooks.tgz file.
Short instructions:
Get a Google Maps API key, edit mapbooks.php and upload it to your base DLP directory. That’s it!
To do list as for version 0.11:
- Make it work for Internet Explorer (it has been tested for the following browsers, though: Firefox, Mozilla, Galeon, Konkeror and Opera).
- Do a version which actually enhances ‘geosearch.php’, centerering the map on the currently logged user.
